Although
people often say "sales & marketing" in the same breath, these two
functional areas have existed as separate silos standing shoulder to
shoulder but mutually engaging one another infrequently. Different
definitions of and rewards for success are a part of the problem. Poor
campaign response rates and indifferent sales follow up are symptoms.
